Who you are dealing with

  • Liverpool Gateway Inn is a trading name of Liverpool Gateway Limited, a private limited company registered in England and Wales.
  • Company number: 08086023.
  • Registered office: 95a St Oswalds Street, Liverpool L13 5SB.
  • The inn itself is at 95 St Oswald's Street, Old Swan, Liverpool L13 5SB, United Kingdom.
  • Email: info@liverpoolgateway.co.uk. Telephone: 0151 298 2288.
  • Online bookings and payments are handled on our behalf by our booking provider, eviivo.

Bookings and prices

  • Bookings can be made through our online booking system or by phone. Your booking is confirmed once you receive confirmation from us or our booking provider.
  • Prices are in pounds sterling and are shown in full, including any taxes and unavoidable charges, before you confirm. The price shown at the time of booking is the price you pay.
  • Payment and any deposit are taken in line with the rate you choose at booking, handled securely by our booking provider.
  • We take care to describe our rooms accurately. Photographs show our rooms but individual rooms vary, and the room type you book is what we guarantee rather than a specific room.

Check-in and check-out

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am. Reception is staffed 24 hours a day, so late arrivals are no problem. If you need different times, let us know and we will do our best to help.

Changes, cancellations and no-shows

The cancellation and amendment terms that apply to your stay are those shown for your chosen rate at the time of booking. Please review them before you confirm. If you need to change or cancel, contact us as early as you can and we will help where we are able.

Please note that bookings for accommodation on a specific date are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This means the cancellation terms of your chosen rate apply instead of a statutory cooling-off period. This does not affect your other legal rights.

Parking and facilities

  • Free parking is available on site behind an automatic security gate. Vehicles and their contents are left at your own risk.
  • All rooms share our bathrooms, toilets and a self-catering kitchen. Some rooms also have a shower cubicle of their own, as described when you book.
  • We do not serve breakfast. A shared self-catering kitchen is available for guests to use.

Card details, damage and charges

We hold your card details securely through our booking provider for the duration of your stay. We may charge that card, or ask you to pay before you leave, where any of the following happens:

  • Damage to your room, its contents or any part of the premises, beyond fair wear and tear. We charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
  • Smoking or vaping anywhere indoors. A cleaning charge applies, as the room has to be taken out of use and deep cleaned.
  • Lost, damaged or unreturned keys or fobs. A replacement charge applies.
  • Additional cleaning needed beyond what is reasonable for a normal stay.

We will always tell you what the charge is for before we take it, and we will provide a receipt or breakdown on request. We only charge the actual, reasonable cost we incur, and this does not affect your statutory rights.

Your stay

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted indoors.
  • Please treat the property and other guests with respect. We may ask a guest to leave if their behaviour affects others or the property.
  • You are responsible for any loss or damage you cause during your stay, beyond fair wear and tear.
  • The number of guests staying in a room must not exceed the number booked.

Our responsibility to you

We take good care of our guests and our rooms. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under English law. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, are not affected.

Complaints

If something is not right, please tell reception while you are with us so we can put it right straight away. If you would still like to raise it afterwards, email info@liverpoolgateway.co.uk and we will acknowledge your complaint and respond as quickly as we can.
